About the Role
Apple Hospital Indore is seeking a dedicated and responsible Casualty Duty Doctor to join our emergency care team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing immediate medical attention to patients in emergency situations, ensuring timely diagnosis, stabilization, and coordination with specialized departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide immediate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in the casualty/emergency department
- Handle medical emergencies efficiently, including trauma, critical illness, and acute conditions
- Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals to appropriate specialists or departments
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records in compliance with hospital protocols
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, paramedics, and consultants
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards
- Participate in shift duties, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in emergency or casualty care preferred
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are desirable
Work Environment & Expectations
- The role is based at Apple Hospital Indore, with primary duty in the casualty/emergency department
- Candidates should be willing to work in rotational shifts
- Immediate joining will be preferred
